Biography
My name is François. I am currently a game design student at the University of Quebec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT), located in Montreal.

I developed a passion for video games from a young age. It was an Assassin’s Creed game that sparked this passion. Unfortunately, I don't remember which one I played. However, I still remember being in my parents' basement, where me and my cousin would spend our nights playing. When I played it, I always found something I would have done differently. Since that day, in every game I play, I always see something I would have done differently or improved. From there came my desire to design games.
My journey
I started my studies at Collège de Maisonneuve in Technique d'intégration Multimédia (TIM). From there, I learned the basics of several things that affect the world of multimedia. I learned to program in several languages, such as C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ETC. However, I have more knowledge of C#, because the design aspect that interested me was coded in this language. I also learned to use some Adobe software like Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro, etc. Finally, I learned how to create websites. However, I focused more on the video game aspect of the program, because that's what I was passionate about.

During the college program, I had the chance to do game design training with Ubisoft. It was called: The Game Creators’ Odyssey. I gained knowledge about the world of video games and how they work. How the development phases are divided and the work team necessary for the smooth running and launch of a game. I was able to see the different ways of approaching a design problem and the best way to resolve the issue. In short, I was able to deepen my knowledge on subjects that are close to my heart.

Subsequently, I decided to continue my education in the world of video games by doing a BAC in Game Design. I learned that video games were much more complex than what I've learned. There is a whole thought process from its conception to its final phase.
